Cross Rd Surgery Coronavirus update in relation to current government guidance.

Our surgery doors are now open during surgery opening hours.  Please adhere to social distancing measures in place when attending the practice.

If you are attending for an appointment, please wear a face covering.  One person per appointment, unless it is medically necessary to be accompanied by one other person.

We would ask you in the first instance, to do an E-Consult if you need advice or help from a GP or admin team.  We are now operating a telephone consultation system for appointments with the GP and some appointments with the Nurses.

We have temporarily suspended online appointment booking.  You can still order repeat medications online.

Sick note/fit note information for patients

By law, medical evidence is not required for the first 7 days of sickness (that is, employees can self-certify). After 7 days, it is for the employer to determine what evidence they require, if any, from the employee. To make it easier for people to provide evidence to their employer that they need to stay at home, the NHS are developing an alternative form of evidence to the fit note. These will shortly be available through NHS 111 online.
